Maintenance Manager

He is originally from Eel Ground

In 1999 Chief George Ginnish request that Tim come mow the lawns here weekly. Soon after, in 2000, he got employed here as maintenance man and in the following years proved himself as a great asset to the company and the position of maintenance manager in 2006.

In his spare time Tim enjoys hunting, fishing, walking in the woods, and wood working.

Velma currently is residing in Redbank although she is originally from Gray Rapids.

Her love to cook brought her here almost 9 years ago.

Nelda Followed her sister Velma and her passion for Cooking she shares and started working her in February of 2022.

Rainier is originally from Metepenagiag Mi’kmaq Nation

Rainier is a graduate of the Rising Sun program and a grateful recovering alcoholic for the last 15 years, one day at a time. The Rising Sun feels like home for him and while you are here we will treat you like family. Rising Sun is a safe place where you can practice your culture and be safe to do your healing work.

Some of his favourite hobbies include, swimming, time spent by the water, building Lego sets (he does not play with them just builds them), collecting cards, he also enjoys cooking.

Grant is originally from Eel Ground First Nation

Having suffered from addiction and substance abuse in his youth, and has now been in recovery for 8 years, he thought that he would be able to offer a great deal of support and hope for people in recovery, as he is able to relate and give advice.

In his spare time Grant enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking/scouting, and camping.

Ryan is originally from Natoaganeg, First Nation.

Admiration, reverence and respect is what brought him here to work at the Rising Sun.

During his spare time  Ryan enjoys Beading, Travelling, music and tv, spending time with friends and family.
