Intake process:

Applications will be reviewed for each cycle by our intake team.

Admission Package (3 part) are now valid for 3 months only.

Application Packages will be accepted 8-weeks before intake day – Please refer to our website homepage and Facebook page for when we are accepting applications for each cycle or call to inquire.

Application form, Medical Clearance form and Medication Intake form (Application Package) must be FULLY completed and received at least 2-4 weeks before intake day to be considered for a bed/cycle.

Missing information or documents will slow down the process of us moving through the intake process with you.

  1. The Application Form is recommended to be completed by a referral agent such as your NNADAP, community addictions/outreach counselor or social worker but can also be filled out by a family member, or yourself (self-referral).

  2. The Medical Clearance Form is to be filled out by a nurse, nurse practitioner or family doctor.

  3. The Medication Intake Form is to be filled out by applicants pharmacist or doctor and is needed for application review.

 

Selection process:

Sending in an application, does not guarantee acceptance into the program or a specific cycle – We receive more applications than we can accommodate each cycle.

Communication will be sent to referrals and clients 1-2 weeks prior intake day to begin the “Getting to Know You” conversation which includes asking “Why Recovery Now?”.

Our acceptance package will be sent out to clients and referrals who have been selected for each cycle.

Once the acceptance package is received, only then can medical transportation can be arranged in collaboration with our intake team for clear communication to all involved.

 

We do accept applicants who:

  • Are prescribed OAT (opioid alternative therapy) such as Methadone, Suboxone or Sublocade.

 

We do not accept applicants who:

  • Are prescribed Narcotics or Medical Marijuana
  • Have not yet detoxed from all other psychoactive substances

 

Cancellation list:

If all bed spaces are filled, we will start a “cancellation list” for remaining applications. As cancellations occur, we will make selection from the list of applicants based on priority, need and readiness.

Referrals and clients will be contacted if you are on the cancellation list.

 

What to do if no bed is available:

If no bed is available, we encourage NNADAP and community resources to continue exploring other treatment centres in the region and apply for our next cycle when the application process begins as listed on our website and Facebook page. Other treatment centres are listed on our “resources” section of our website.

 

Please ensure when you are submitting an application that you have all of the following attached:

  • Medical form (MANDATORY for application review)

  • Name and phone number of applicants home Pharmacy

  • OAT prescribing Doctor (if applicable)

  • Probation Order (if applicable)

  • Child and family involvement (if applicable)

    Please note: Applicants that are currently on Methadone, Suboxone or Sublocade must be on a stable dosage of Methadone, Suboxone, or Sublocade, 3 months prior to program start date. All applicants must be detoxed from all other mood-altering medications prior to admission. Applicants will be subject to drug screening upon their admission to the facility.
